Bathurst Basketball United (BBU) is committed to creating a safe and enjoyable sporting environment that provides ongoing support and development for players, coaches, referees and officials.

By working in partnership with the community and embracing the values of BBU, a culture will be created where everyone feels valued and respected. Members will be empowered to actively commit to advancing basketball in Bathurst and Central Western NSW.


BATHURST 'GOLDMINERS ' REPRESENTATIVE BASKETBALL
Are you ready to Rep? Bathurst Goldminers has seen huge growth over recent years, so much so that the BBU has been fortunate enough to offer additional 'development teams' in mutliple age divisions. In 2025 11 teams were entered into the Western Junior League - 12 boys/girls, 14 boys/girls, 16 boys/girls and 18 men/women. Gold development teams included 14 boys, 16 boys and 18 men.

Trials for Goldminers are held during September/October each year for the following year/season.

Athletes selected begin training October/November/December in preparation for the season commenicing January/Februray the following year.
Pathways for representative players also include programs offered by Basketball NSW, high performance trials, talented athlete programs and the Western Region Academy of Sport and many more.


WJL REGULAR SEASON
Each year the Golminer teams compete in the Waratah Western Junior League (WJL).
In 2025, teams travelled to the NSW Riverina to compete in Griffith, Narrandera and Leeton and two rounds here in Bathurst including games in Orange, Lithgow and Wallerawang.

Round 1 – February 22-23 2025 
Round 2 – March 15-16 2025 
Round 3 – April 5-6 2025

 JOHN MARTIN COUNTRY TOURNAMENT (JMCT)

Teams competed in the John Martin Country Tournament (JMCT) during the June Long Weekend, June 7th – 9th, 2025.
The Country Championships are an integral part of the Goldminers calendar and our Goldminers all competed in the 2025 JMCT.
