 JOHN MARTIN NSW COUNTRY BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT (JMCT) Bathurst Goldminers have their sights set on an action-packed 3 days of basketball at the annual John Martin Country Tournament (JMCT). The JMCT, also known as the 'Country Championships',  are held on the June long weekend of each year, bringing together regional teams from across NSW and is an integral part of the Goldminers calendar.  We wish our Goldminer teams all the very best in their preparations to compete in the 2025 JMCT. The venues/draws for the tournament Maitland U18 Men, Berkeley U18 & U16 Girls, Bathurst U16 Boys, Terrigal U14 Boys, Niagara Park U14 Girls, Beaton Park U12 Boys, Shoalhaven U12 Girls.   ROUND 3 - READY TO ROCK'N'GOLD-MINERS   The season is well and truly glowing with Goldminer pride heading into Round 3 of the Basketball NSW, Western Junior League (WJL).  Goldminers will gear up in our special Indigenous jerseys to highlight and celebrate multicultural diversity. The Bathurst Indoor Sports Stadium will be brimming with ballers and just a hop skip and jump up to Orange, Lithgow and Wallerawang we will also see the local community cheer our terrific teams on. Get amongst your Goldminers, choose your favourite player and watch the passion unfold on the faces of our coaching staff as we Rock'n'Gold-miner Round 3. We give a wholehearted welcome to our friendly foes in Dubbo, West Wyalong, Griffith, Lithgow, Orange, Mudgee, Young, Narrandera, Mudgee, Temora and Leeton. It's GOLDMINERS GAME TIME - The business of basketball is booming and so are the Bathurst Goldminers who will compete in Round 1 of the Basketball NSW, Waratah Junior Leagues, Western Junior League (WJL), season with over 100 players ready to rock the Riverina. Bathurst Basketball United Goldminer Representative Trials Trial registrations are now open. The Bathurst Basketball United Goldminers are our local junior representative program. Our teams compete in the Western Junior League competition. The First round will be played in February 2024, followed by Rounds Two and Three a few weeks between each other in locations in the Central West. The representative calendar finishes on the June Long Weekend. Our teams train a minimum of once a week and dedication to the team is a must. As we all know you are the valued people in our community. Without you basketball can not happen!!! By completing this Expression of Interest you are showing your interest in refereeing in the Western Junior League. You will be included in the Team environment and allocated to a team for them to support you and for you to support them. You may be required to attend the fitness testing day, we promise to support your development as far as you want to go. This Expression of Interest is for positions in the 2025 Bathurst Goldminer representative season, being Head Coach, Assistant Coach or Manager of a Bathurst Goldminer Representative Basketball team. Coaches will need to commit to all games (as possible), BBU will assist Coaches to confirm a training session for once a week with their team. Assistant Coaches and Managers will ensure a register of players attendance in scheduled team and club events is recorded. Managers will carry out duties associated with the management of the team at training sessions and during competitions. Managers will also liaise with the BBU and teams to organise the rostering of parents/guardians onto volunteer duties throughout the season (including games for their teams and other volunteer duties associated with Bathurst Goldminers hosting games) All coaches must have coaching accreditation or willing to obtain at a BNSW Club Coach course. (BBU can potentially conduct a course pending numbers) EOI Form
